AC Replacement & Installation in Palm Beach County
A new air conditioner is a big decision, and you deserve a straight conversation, not a sales pitch. We measure your home, explain your options and install a system sized for how you actually live.
Signs it may be time to replace
- The system is 12 to 15 years old, or older
- Repairs are frequent or getting more expensive
- Electric bills keep climbing
- Some rooms are hot while others are cold
- It uses R-22 refrigerant, which has not been produced or imported since 2020
- Your home feels sticky even while the AC is running
- The system is loud, or the outdoor unit is visibly corroded
Why correct sizing matters
Bigger is not better. An oversized system cools the air so quickly that it shuts off before it has removed the moisture, which leaves your home cold and clammy. An undersized system runs constantly and never catches up. The right size comes from a proper load calculation, often called a Manual J, that accounts for your home’s insulation, windows, sun exposure, ceiling height and duct layout. A guess based on square footage is not good enough, and we do not use one.
Your options, in writing
We give you clear choices instead of a single take-it-or-leave-it number:
- Good: a reliable system that meets your needs and your budget.
- Better: higher efficiency and quieter operation.
- Best: variable-speed equipment for the most even temperatures and the best humidity control.
Variable-speed systems matter more in Palm Beach County than almost anywhere, because they run longer at lower speeds and pull far more moisture out of the air. We will tell you honestly whether that upgrade is worth it for your home.

What affects the cost of a new system
No honest contractor can give you a price without seeing your home. These are the things that move it:
- The size and type of system your home needs
- The efficiency level and features you choose
- The condition of your ductwork, which may need repair or replacement
- Where the equipment is installed, such as an attic, closet, garage or rooftop
- Electrical, drain and permit requirements
- Condo or HOA requirements, such as crane access or approved vendors
Efficiency, rebates and savings
Higher-efficiency systems can lower your cooling costs, and the savings are larger here because our systems run so many hours. Manufacturer rebates, utility programs and tax incentives sometimes apply. They change often, so we confirm what is available when we quote your job.
Condos, HOAs and 55+ communities
Many associations require approval before an AC is replaced. We can provide the specifications, photos and insurance certificates your board asks for, and we will follow rules on work hours, elevators and equipment placement. See our page for condos, HOAs and property managers.
Questions to ask any HVAC contractor
- Are you licensed in Florida? (You can look up any license for free on the state DBPR website.)
- Are you insured, and can I see the certificate?
- Will you pull the permit?
- Will you perform a load calculation?
- What does the warranty cover, in writing?
We are happy to answer all five, and we encourage you to ask them of everyone who quotes your job.

In most cases, yes, and we handle it.
It depends on your home’s layout, insulation, windows and sun exposure. We calculate it with a load calculation instead of guessing.
Sometimes. Mismatched indoor and outdoor parts can hurt efficiency and warranty coverage, so we explain what is smart for your system.
Often 10 to 15 years with good maintenance. Salt air and nonstop use can shorten that, and regular service can help it last.
